To well-known works by giants such as Brahms, Rossini, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Dukas, Schumann, Dvořák, Beethoven, and Mahler, the 2008-2009 Classical Series adds a multi-hued palette of composers with lesser-known names. Moszkowski, Martucci, Tower, Reznicek, Still, and Ward are also represented by rarely-played but magnificent examples of the classical spectrum. Guest artists include pianists Richard Dowling, Everett Jones, and Ian Parker; and violinists Rachel Barton Pine, Vadim Gluzman, and Stephanie Chase.
