DAYTON, OH (May 12, 2015) – On Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 8 p.m. in the Mead Theatre of the Schuster Center, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, under the leadership of Artistic Director and Conductor Neal Gittleman, will present Rubber Soul & Revolver: Back to Back, the fourth concert in the 2014-2015 Dayton Freight Rockin’ Orchestra Series.  The DPO welcomes back to the stage Jeans 'n Classics for this much-anticipated performance. Supporting Sponsor for this performance is Thorn, Lewis & Duncan, Inc.

Rubber Soul (released in1965) and Revolver (released in 1966) were the sixth and seventh Beatles albums, both brilliant artistic achievements showcasing the group’s developing musical vision. “The two recordings stand in stark contrast with each other,” said Jeans 'n Classics creator Peter Brennan.  “Rubber Soul presented a more refined, acoustic side, whereas Revolver was tougher and more electric than previous releases and showed the genius of the band in the studio. It is a joy and a privilege to extend our already rich Beatles’ catalogue and tackle these two marvelous albums!”

The über-talented rock ensemble and DPO fan favorite Jeans 'n Classics takes center stage once more this Rockin’ Orchestra season for an evening of high-energy vocal artistry, celebrating the music of these two influential Beatles albums.  Band originator Peter Brennan will take on lead guitar for this incredible experience.  The evening will feature David Blamires and Neil Donell on lead vocals, with backup vocalists Kathryn Rose and Leah Salomaa.  Band instrumentalists include Jeff Christmas on drums, Dave Dunlop on guitar, Donald Paulton on keyboards, John Regan on piano, and Mitch Tyler on bass.

In this unique performance, Jeans 'n Classics will perform two sets, separated by intermission. Set one will feature the entire album of Rubber Soul,  including "I've Just Seen a Face," "Norwegian Wood," "You Won't See Me," "Think for Yourself," "The Word," "Michelle," "It's Only Love," "Girl," "I'm Looking Through You," "In My Life," "Wait," "Run for Your Life," "Drive My Car," and "Nowhere Man."  After intermission, set two will feature Revolver, including Beatles’ favorites "Taxman," "Eleanor Rigby," "Love You To," "Here There and Everywhere," "Yellow Submarine," "She Said She Said," "Good Day Sunshine," "For No One," "I Want to Tell You," "Got to Get You Into My Life," and "Tomorrow Never Knows."

It’s Rubber Soul & Revolver: Back to Back, a concert replete with wonderful songs that, regardless of age, concertgoers will be able to connect to some of the best memories of their lives.

Tickets for Rubber Soul & Revolver: Back to Back range from $29 to $81 and are available at Ticket Center Stage (937) 228-3630 or online at  Senior, teacher, student, and military discounts are available at the box office. For more information on this production visit
